‘Bel Ami’ Gets World Premiere In Berlin
BERLIN - Bel Ami, the period drama starring Twilight heart throb Robert Pattinson with Uma Thurman will have its world premiere out of competition at the Berlin international film festival.
The drama, the feature debut of Brit directors Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod, is based on a novel by French writer Guy de Maupassant and is the story of a young man’s rise to power in Paris. Christina Ricci, Kristin Scott Thomas and Colm Meaney also star.
The full Berlin lineup will be announced in the coming weeks. The 62nd Berlinale runs Feb. 9-19.
