According to our sources at Sony Pictures Worldwide, there is no firm US release date for the movie, Bel Ami. There is also no US premiere scheduled for the film.

Sony Pictures Worldwide acquired the rights for US distribution at AFM.

Now, quite honestly, this sucks. We’ve been waiting some time now for this movie, and other countries are getting it as soon as next month, and a couple already got to see it. There is definitely a market for this in the US, even by just Rob’s fan base. It is very frustrating to not have any news, not have any idea if we will ever see it in theaters period.

C’mon Sony, throw us a bone! Even limited release is better than no release at all. The stills are nice and all, but they are just a tease to us US residents if we will never get to see them in action on a very large screen (I’m not talking your living room 56”). Frankly, we would rather get this straight to DVD than not get it at all. And we WILL buy the DVD, make no mistake.
